An Art Refuge in the Heart of Manarola

The authentic experience in a picturesque village of the Cinque Terre

Welcome to the Gallerista’s House, a unique home located in the heart of Manarola. Here’s an opportunity to experience a fusion between nature and art with all the comforts of a five-star accommodation.

La Casa del Gallerista is the ideal starting point for exploring the Cinque Terre and for enjoying a peaceful and exciting vacation.

The stay at La Casa del Gallerista is an experience between Art and Nature, in a creative environment immersed in the Cinque Terre Park.

In the morning you will find yourself in the beating heart of the town, with several cafés offering a rich choice of Italian pastries and continental breakfast; you will also be able to experience the typical local first morning meal: cappuccino and focaccia.
In Piazza Cappellini you will have the opportunity to buy national newspapers at the newsstand that is open all year round.

Going down towards the marina along via Renato Birolli, you can browse through the various shops, taste an ice cream or a savory cake until you reach the sea; from the pier you can board the ferry for a scenic route along the coast and reach the other villages by sea, or, walking up along the promenade you will reach a panoramic terrace from which you can admire, sitting on a bench in the garden, the postcard view of Manarola and, if you wish, have a cocktail and a quick bite to eat.

If you love snorkelling, you will be able to access some interesting spots in the protected area to admire the underwater life of the Cinque Terre Park. You will swim among the seabed rich in flora and fauna, quickly reaching the depths that develop along the cliff, overlooking the sea.

If, however, you want to continue strolling along Via Antonio Discovolo, also full of boutiques, mom-and-pop stores and restaurants, you can reach the Church dedicated to San Lorenzo, with the square and the bell tower created from an ancient watchtower. Directly across you will find the S.S. Annunziata oratory, a privileged place for art exhibitions.

Along the road you can also find various services, such as the Post Office and the Pharmacy. There is also a bus stop that can take you to the village of Volastra. Here, in the Groppo area, you can visit the Cantina Sociale where to taste the local wine.
By making intermediate stops along the coast road, the minibus gives you direct access to the parking area.

At the end of the tunnel that leads to the train station, you will find the Tourist Office, with kind and trained staff, able to recommend, in various languages, the best solutions to make your visit to the Cinque Terre National Park unforgettable.
Various treks in the Cinque Terre National Park depart from Manarola, and are always well signaled.

Located near La Casa del Gallerista there is Calandra Art Gallery, an art gallery of the same owner, Sebastiano Calandra.

You will be able to participate in temporary art exhibitions, cultural events and even happy hours organized in collaboration with nearby venues, to experience the vibrant atmosphere of the village.

After an intense day, you can either choose to wear an elegant evening dress and dine in one of the excellent local restaurants, or to cook fresh fish for yourself, like an authentic resident of the village. If you have had the opportunity to attend a local cooking class, you will have the freedom to prepare your own “Pesto” (Italian Basil based condiment ideal for pasta and appetizers) in the original marble mortar made available in the apartment.
